Displaying a well-patinated finish of worn black lacquer, this elm and pine piece is surmounted by a waisted, floating panel top over two open compartments. The top one features fine, scrolling spandrels beneath the top, with turned spindles forming a gallery around the shelf. The bottom shelf is completely open, without adornment. Used to house tea services, this piece now offers wonderful display space.
