Closely related to similar Neolithic items such as dolmens, this extremely rare and important 16th century French, stone hunting table is a magnificent find. Very often these tables were found in oak forests having been used in the hunts. This one retains a wonderful condition. It features a very thick, rectangular top with softly rounded corners surmounting two, equally thick uprights that curve outward toward the bottom and are inset from the edges of the top. It makes a fabulous decorating statement.
