Finely carved and parcel gilt, this early, architectural fragment was found in Goa, India. It features a large rosette with C scroll, fleur de lis and acanthus leaf details; it also disdplays part of a C scroll border. Once part of a church altar decoration, it is now mounted on a custom iron stand and makes a beautiful and interesting piece of sculpture. See also D2468, a similar piece.
