A charming piece of primitive American craftsmanship and folk art, this desk was made for use by a person standing, or with a tall stool. With a lift-top writing slope, it features a wonderful, old, buttermilk red painted finish, adorned with gold folk painting on the gallery back and on the double doors at the bottom; the latter with cunning, primitive flower baskets. It would be perfect as a lecturn or maitre'd stand in a casual setting.
