This wonderful piece of antiquity is now a great example of folk art of the Americas. Hand carved, the saddle now exhibits a wonderful, worn patina on the pommel and seating surface. It retains much of the original rawhide thongs that tied the parts; now reinforced with newer leather. Notice, also, the repair on the back; done with iron straps and hand made nails. It is the perfect gift for an equestrian!
