English Whieldon Creamware Pottery Teapot Item: P1182
Whieldon Factory (Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, c. 1747-80) | Thomas Whieldon (1719-95) Unmarked. This small pot, executed in the Chinese tradition, is a very scarce form. The pale, creamy yellow ground is decorated with applied and painted water lily designs in black, green and gold. The finial on the lid is an applied flower form. Condition note: chips, hairline cracks.
