Beautifully fashioned in a foliate form, this serving piece features whimsical, pastoral scenes, known as the valentine pattern on the sides, the arms of Marten of Radford, Oxfordshire (Marten impaling Bidwell) on the pouring spout, and the Marten housemark on the interior. Collectors will appreciate these details, as well as the early orange peel finish. (Two small chips on lip.)
