Handcrafted in the Portuguese colony of Goa in southern India, this altarstick was designed to be viewed from the front, decorated on one side with wide channelled scrolls and retaining the original blue and ochre painted finish. The baluster stem is raised on a tripartite footed base and demi-lune plinth. Condition note(s): Lacks the iron pricket. See also: W1693.
