This very early trunk was hand fashioned with an arched top that opens to reveal a very old, linen-lined interior. The front sports truly wonderful, hand forged iron hasps with large, very decorative, escutcheons. The sides have iron, swing handles for carrying. The overall exterior displays nailheads applied in scrolling patterns. Great attention to detail of construction is evident to this day.
