Discovered in the state of Maine, this dark glazed, footed jardiniere was fashioned in classical urn form, featuring and egg-and-dart border, stylized leaves, gadrooning and beaded decoration. Signed: Portland Stoneware Co. Portland, Maine. It is a wonderful addition for a patio or solarium, and a nice piece of American history.
