This lovely box was thoughtfully hand crafted in the finest French tradition. It features nicely chased silver mounts, including the original lock and key and is engraved "C.L. 1875" on the front, upper edge of the box Hand painted with gilt floral decoration, it now displays the wear of many generations of use. The glass retains a wonderful, rich cranberry color. It makes a lovely dresser or desk box and a pretty display piece.
