This small candlestick, for use with small candles known as tapers, was hand crafted in two parts, held together with a hand made screw, indicative of its 17th century origin. It features a straight aperture and slight, baluster form stem with a broad, flat base. It is a good addition for a candlestick collector, and a pretty, little accessory.
