Whimsically hand crafted, this model depicts a 17th century vessel with imaginative, carved figures on the prow and stern, small, carved sailors on board and extensively painted scenes on the sails, including the date: 1805 and Great Britain. The keel is also painted with designs and the name: Victory. It is a wonderful example of nautical folk art.
