This cunning box was unusually designed and hand crafted with a gallery around the top o f the lid, with the addition of a coin slot in the center. The lid opens to reveal a fitted interior with secret compartments. The front houses two small drawers and terminates on a box base with cut out centers on each side. Note, also, the brass escuteons on the drawers and the applied brass banding. It is a charming storage piece.
