Josiah Spode (Stoke, Staffordshire, c. 1762-present) Marked: Bridge of Lucano, Italy pattern on lid and bottom. This vegetable tureen is fitted with a domed lid with a knob handle encircled by cobalt and gilt leaves in relief. The double handle, square base has tapering sides with transferware decoration in light blue.
