This large tall case clock was fashioned with an arched bonnet and arched window displaying the dial. The face of the clock features a fancy, pierced, brass dial with pewter hour ring and maker's medallion as well as pierced corner plaques, on a brick red ground. The piece is painted creamy white with gold accents on the half-pilasters flanking the dial, and on the beaded borders of the panels on the front. Marked: Paul Hansen, No. 698.
