These large, hand made, antique, 19th century stained glass windows were found in Paris. They were designed with a slightly arched top, delicately hand painted with a border design resembling brass decorations, with acanthus leaf details and elaborate corner designs. The border enhanced the small, clear, leaded glass panes. This is true stained glass, meaning painted designs with mineral stains and then fired in a kiln before being leaded into a window. The wooden frame retains an old, white, painted finish.
