Marcel Breuer (Hungarian, 1902-81) for Knoll (New York, 1938-present)

With retailer's inventory sticker. Originally known as the Model B3 chair. Designed by Breuer in 1925-26. A duplicate was fabricated for Wassily Kandinsky that later became known as the Wassily chair when it was re-released by Gavina (Italy). In 1968 Knoll bought the Gavina Group and thus the license to Breuer's design.
