An antique pottery vase of tall, hexagonal form painted and enamelled with scenes of geishas and samurai by the famous Kinkozan studio. Kinkozan wares are not a true Satsuma and should be classified as Awata Kyo-yaki. Marked (base): character mark and paper label S. Kinkozan/ 31650/ Kyoto, Japan. Note: drilled for a table lamp.
