Indian Hindu Bronze Naga and Shiva Lingam

Set atop a tiered wooden base that terminates on four feet, this small ritual object is in the form of a round receptacle housing a linga stone, found only in one river in India, the Narmada and used as a focus of shivling worship. This one is protected by a rising, hooded cobra (Naga), a common idol in Hindu temple worship.

Condition note: missing head of cobra; remaining cobra hood and stone lingam detached.
