This Murano style vase is hand blown with a long slender, flared neck on a bulbous body with black and clear glass Zanfirico decoration. Zanfirico is a very, old glass technique invented in Murano, Italy that consists of fine filigree canes which have been stretched and twisted to form intricate lattice work patterns. Gamble received his Fine Arts Degree from Southern Illinois University and continued his glass education is Murano, Italy. He now owns and operates his glass studio in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
