Bryce Ritter Furniture/Paper Mill Furniture (Downington/Exton, PA, 1990-present)

This pair of windsor chairs is crafted with a shaped crest rail, on tall spindles with a concave, back with a flat arm and scrolled knuckles. The shaped contrasting, red painted, saddle seat is raised on turned splayed legs joined by an H-stretcher. Ritter uses antique lumber and traditional joinery to hand craft his 18th and 19th century style, reproduction furniture. Provenance: from a 7,500 square-foot Virginia Georgian style, country home designed by internationally known, interior designer Charles Faudree.
