The Abalone pattern is named for the thin abalone shells mounted in recesses as decoration. This rectangular gallery pen tray is raised on squashed ball feet and is fitted with two pen rest rails forming three sections. The center section is set with seven discs with a leaf incised frame. Marked: Tiffany Studios/ New York/ 1159.
