A large, antique Delft blue and white tile showing an interior scene with a young woman sewing with a gilt frame. Maker's and date marks (on reverse). This tile was modeled after an original watercolor painting by artist Christoffel Bisschop (Dutch, 1828-1904). Painted in 1882-83, it is titled The Sunny Nook (Het zonnige hoekje': jonge vrouw in een kamer te Hindelopen), Hindeloopen Young Woman and is now in the Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam).
