A whimsical portrait of a standing harlequin figure with a cape and two owls. Signed (lower left): Mina Conant. Gallery label (on reverse). Framed and matted.

Mina Conant Billmyer was born in Colorado and in 1933 she married John Billmyer and the couple moved to Cleveland, Ohio. In March, 1935, her work was featured in the Print-a-Month series, issued by the Cleveland Printmaker's Club. She returned to Denver in 1947 she continued to work as an artist and also taught at Denver University at the Denver Art Museum and in the Denver Public schools.
