From a Danish, 16th century manor house, Holckenhavn castle. This small, drop-leaf table is a versatile piece. With the leaves up, it makes a nice, little, oval dining table. When the leaves are down, it is very compact to fit into a small space. Housing a single, long drawer, it is raised on turned legs; the opposing legs split in half to form the gate-legs, as do the corresponding halves of the square, box stretcher.
