Mexican Huastec Pueblo Granary (Kiva) Notched Log Ladder

This rustic ladder is hand carved from a single log with stepped toe holds and ends in a forked base. These ladders provide access to the pueblo buildings used to dry grain known as kivas though rooftop holes, used for both security and to  allow smoke to escape.
