Hand crafted as part of a roof ornament, this large, antique Chinese Ming style ceramic clay figure depicts the head of a fierce dragon, used to ward off evil spirits from buildings. It displays a traditional green glaze with accents of yellow. This ceramic architectural roof tile now makes an interesting sculptural accessory.
