Bookplate / Ex Libris: Edward Dean Adams (American, 1846-1931). Designer: Edwin Davis French (American, 1851-1906). French was a bookplate engraver who designed over 350 engravings. Businessman and banker Edward Dean Adams commissioned the bookplate in 1902. Dean appeared on the cover of Time Magazine in May 1929.
