Attributed to Ferdinand Bol (Dutch, 1616-80). Confirmed by the British Museum (Ref: 1829,0415.7). Formerly attributed to Pieter Cornelisz and Verbeeck. Bol was a painter, etcher and draftsman and a student of Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (Dutch, 1606-69).
