Hansen is a well listed, Danish painter who seems to have favor Roman ruins in Italy and romantic countryside scenes in Denmark. Hansen studied at the Royal Academy of the Fine Arts in 1876 and took lessons at Bonnat’s school in Paris in 1881. I. T. Hansen won great acclaim in his day at various exhibitions for his deep sense of perspective and architectural detail. He is also represented at Danish museums.
