This half pillar top was hand carved during the British Colonial era of India. It features a stylized foliate and floral design with a gadroon edge. It would have topped an architectural half column on a building. It retains some traces of the original blue-green paint. It is a great fragment for bookshelf or wall or could be repurposed as a lamp base.
