Henry Crowther sourced many of his castings for his lead foundry from his father's fine garden ornament business founded in the 1880s. These moulds continue to be used today. Cast from a mid 19th century original. With a black, matte finish, this pretty wall accessory features a scalloped, arched back with a moulded design that depicts a palmette surmounting a figure suggesting a lion's head with a cascade of fruits and flowers. The demi-lune basin has scenes of putti figures. It is a charming piece and will enhance any indoor or outdoor wall. It could be also used as a fountain or a wall planter.
