An antique, European historical painting of an interior scene of an armed man listening by a window with his wife and two children with the motto of the French Republic written on a crumpled paper on the floor. Possibly depicting the Silk weavers revolt in Lyon (1831) whose motto was live working or die fighting, indicated on the label in French.
