This early tole lantern was hand crafted during the Victorian British Colonial era in India. It has an arched roof, with a pierced, tubular chimney and fluted cap with ring. Glazed on three sides, the body tapers slightly and terminates on bracket feet. It retains traces of original paint and a name on the front. It may be wall hung, or used as a table-top piece.
