This early lantern was hand crafted during the Victorian British Colonial era in India. It has an arched roof, with a pierced, tubular chimney and fluted cap with ring. Glazed on three sides, the body tapers slightly and terminates on bracket feet. It retains traces of early black paint. It may be wall hung, or used as a table-top piece.
