This settee was possibly designed by Duncan Phyfe (Scottish/American, 1768-1854). The top rail displays carved acorn branches flanking a double cornucopia, with a upholstered brass-studded back, seat and out scrolled arms. The seat rail has carved tasseled fabric swag panels with reeding on saber legs and brass casters. With pine and softwoods secondary.
