An antique, French, 19th century statuette of a freestanding figure representing Henry IV as a young boy. This piece was extremely popular in the 19th century.
An important sculptor, Napoleon I commissioned Bosio to make the bas-reliefs for the column of the Place Vendome. King Louis XVIII made him a court sculptor, and Charles X bestowed the title baron on him.
