DETAILS
This early, antique monteith bowl (wine rinser/verriere) was hand crafted in the traditional form, with a double, scalloped edge on the oval body, and small side handles. With a black, enameled finish, it was decorated with two oval panels depicting Chinese scenes in polychrome, with gilt accents. It makes a charming, small accessory. It can be also used as a planter or cachepot.
