Raised on French, scrolled feet, this antique ink stand or encrier was fashioned with a swagged front, housing a flat pen surface surmounted by double, urn-form inkwells and a casket-form stamp receptacle. This dressy piece displays a puce glaze with white and gilt accents. It would be the centerpiece of a lovely desk.
