Kang Cho was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to the United States in 1969. He studied the American Academy of Art in Chicago with a full scholarship but left two days before his graduation, believing he needed no more formal education. He then moved to Denver to study with noted artist Bill Sharer. Kang Cho is known for landscapes, portraits, still life and genre subjects.
