A vintage landscape etching of the mountain summit of Longs Peak located in the northern front range of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.
Originally from Illinois, in 1922 Byxbe began making annual summer trips to Estes Park, Colorado. In 1930, he established a studio there, selling etchings of landscapes and resident's cabins for Christmas cards. He achieved national success for his work and had a one man show at the Smithsonian (1937-38). In the late 1930s he moved permanently to Estes Park. He was a member of the Chicago Society of Etchers.
