An antique, late 19th century porcelain piano baby of a seated, cherubic girl in a ruffled peach and pale blue dress. A small butterfly sits on her leg as the child looks up in surprise. In the late 19th century it was fashionable to display a shawl on the piano and these bisque figures were created to hold them in place. No maker's mark.
