This long, antique Chinese altar table was hand fashioned with a floating panel top flanked by everted flanges. The apron and spandrels of the piece display hand carved fretwork type patterns with interspersed flowers and the legs support a solid panel. It retains much of an old, red and black lacquer finish. Notice the traditional, mortised construction.
