Hand fashioned with a floating panel top, this waisted table features an ogee scrolled, beaded, slightly convex apron, that extends in caps over the pole legs, with spandrel-like corners suggesting cloud forms. Square tables of this size were traditionally used as dining tables, tea tables, and for games. They were referred to as Eight Immortals tables, indicating the happiness shared during use.
