The case of this antique, George III period tall case or grandfather clock was fashioned with a broken pediment, bonnet top, exhibiting a brass finial at the center, flanked by rosettes, fretwork details and fluted pilasters. The door of the case is enhanced by an ogee shaped top and decorative, rococo brass escutcheon. The arched, brass dial displays an eagle over the second, minute and day dials. The pendulum is marked: D.B., Jan. 2, 1797.
