This unusual antique architectural balustrade is a survivor is from a home altar, found in Goa, India. It is made of teak and is carved in a typical form of baluster shapes. You can see similar but larger examples in historic churches of that time in Europe, as well as table legs and spindles on furniture. Note the original paint.
