This round tortoisehell box with hinged lid features a Rococo engraved silver piquédefinition posé design with flag bearing putti amongst symbols of war bordered by scrolls and shell motifs. Together with a handwritten note and typed translation claiming it was once owned by Czar Peter the Great (Russian, 1672-1725) among others.
