1520 Market Street, Denver, CO
Built 1894

The Rocky Mountain Seed Company was founded by F.C. Vetting in 1920 and was operated by several generations of his family until it was sold in 2005. He was a respected purveyor of vegetable, flower and other seeds who was known for the hardiness of his seeds.

The company was originally founded in an industrial, warehouse area of Denver, at 15th and Market Streets, a district that is now a hip entertainment area known as LoDo or lower downtown. The seed company was eventually moved to 6541 North Washington Street where the inventory and store fixtures were sold off in 2011. In 2014 the original Victorian brick building underwent extensive renovations and many of the original doors and windows were removed.
