DETAILS
Each of these antique, Chinese screen panels was hand carved and pierced; the top section with a floral and urn motif and a lower panel with an animal and flowers within a medallion. The panels are completely hand painted with muted, fairly dark colors, lending a soft quality to the screen and making a nice backdrop for furniture. They open by pivoting on posts that protrude from the top and bottom, requiring no metal hinges. They could be modified and turned into a four-fold screen.
